User Feedback for Sophia Electric™ 300B Mesh Plate Tubes - by Jim in NC (July 2008)

Hi,

I purchased a matched pair of Sophia 300B globe plate tubes for my diy Welborne “Terraplane” monoblocks.

They sound great! For several months I was using Electro Harmonix tubes which were good but do not compare to the globe plate 300B tubes.

The mid’s and highs can sound magical with the right vinyl. The glowing of the mesh is really beautiful.

My bass (70 Hz and below) is directed to two 300 watt plate amps powering four 15” open baffle woofers.
