My initial impression of the Sophia Electric 300B meshplates are that they are more euphonic than the WE 300B tube but in a good way. The WE300B is most likely more correct but the Sophia Electric meshplate throws a much larger soundstage both front to back and side to side. There is also more detail heard through the meshplates. With this detail comes a more extended top end, this all clearly heard through Beauhorn Virtuosos loudspeakers with a Lowther DX4 driver. You also hear more wood, more rosin, this is as real as it can get. The pulse of the music is now better defined; musicians now play as one, together, but distinctly heard as a whole.
